Environmental sustainability is no longer a subject we
can leave to others to sort out. All businesses, including
design, need to tackle this head on and affect a change
in their behaviour.
We are all asking how to approach this issue and the
challenge to be ‘greener’. We need to change how we
interact with suppliers and clients and look at everything
from our own in-house initiatives to the materials and
finishes we specify for any design project.
We are working on a number of initiatives with suppliers
and contractors. In 2008, we set up an internal
‘Green Team’,which keeps our business aware of new
initiatives and so with our clients, we can make
informed choices.
